Integrative Psychotherapy for Trauma, Depression, Anxiety and Relationship Difficulties

Online in CA and in-person in Fair Oaks, CA

Life's journey can present us with unexpected twists and turns, leaving scars that affect our mental and emotional well-being.

Hi, I'm Suzanne.

As a licensed psychotherapist with over a decade of combined professional and personal experience with holistic, western scientific and eastern therapeutic practices, my approach to therapy integrates deep understanding of the mind-body experience with evidence-based treatments for trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.

I bring a compassionate, human-first approach to helping you improve your sense of well-being. I know how painful it is to feel confused, disconnected, and uncertain of the path forward, and I know that it is possible to heal and experience more of the life you crave.

Together, we can navigate through challenges and unlock the potential for growth and healing within you.

What is Integrative Psychotherapy?

Suzanne Teare

Integrative psychotherapy is a person-centered, inclusive, holistic approach to counseling that focuses on assessing and meeting the unique needs of each individual.

This approach, supported by research, acknowledges that no single therapy fits all and emphasizes the importance of tailoring the therapy to your specific circumstances, challenges, and strengths. At the heart of integrative therapy lies a deep respect for your innate capacity for growth and self-healing.

I practice this approach by creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued. I take the time to get to know your unique needs and collaborate with you to determine the most helpful path forward.

Whether you are interested in EMDR, IFS, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, talk therapy, long-term or short-term therapy, or a blend of each, integrative therapy provides you with an expertly personalized and holistic treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and promotes well-being.

Your relationship with your therapist matters.

Research shows (and we intuitively know) that the quality of your relationship with your therapist plays a crucial role in your therapy outcomes. When you feel trust, empathy, and mutual respect in this relationship, therapy becomes much more effective.

Within Therapy Solutions wholeheartedly embodies a relational approach to therapy, and also honors and supports the innate healing capacity that you have inside of you. Whether we're working with guided, internal processes such as EMDR, IFS, or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or we're having meaningful conversations through talk therapy methods, my focus is always on building a relationship with you that best supports your journey.

You have the strength to claim a life you want to live.

When you connect with your inner healing power with the support of a trusting therapist, you're not just addressing surface-level symptoms; you're fostering a profound sense of compassionate connection with yourself.

From this place of inner connection, it's possible to heal wounds of the past, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and experience a newfound sense of wholeness.

What's it like to work together?

1. We'll start with getting to know each other. During our initial sessions, we'll take the time to understand each other and what our unique therapuetic process will look like. Together, we'll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss any questions or concerns you may have, and lay the foundation for our collaborative journey towards achieving your goals.

2. We'll identify memories, symptoms, or parts of you that are in need of reprocessing or healing. Together, we'll decide on the best approach for identifying where our focus will be. This could involve following a structured protocol to explore a specific timeline of memories or focusing on what symptoms or parts of you are most present in the moment, session to session. I'll share thoughts and education about what I think might be helpful and I'll ask for your feedback on what feels best for you.

3. Depending on our plan, I might guide you through internal processes that facilitate healing from within, connecting you to inner resources that continue to support you and help you cultivate peace and connection outside of therapy. Or we may engage in meaningful conversations that help you explore your thoughts, feelings, stuck points, and goals. We might also talk about the idea of a therapy intensive, to help accelerate your healing process.

4. We'll revisit your goals and track the progress you've made. Together, we'll discuss any adjustments needed to your goals or explore how you can integrate the positive changes from therapy into your daily life. Your feedback is invaluable as we identify what aspects of therapy have been most helpful for you and how we can ensure continued support as you move forward on your journey towards greater well-being and fulfillment.
